Symposiums & Seminars

As part of our research efforts in FY 2016, we conducted workshops and a survey with municipalities on “Dementia Meetings by People with Early Dementia.” To sum up these efforts, we organized a meeting to report the activities. During the meeting, the participants discussed how communities could create opportunities and places for people with dementia to express their concerns and opinions as well as to lead healthy lives with hope. They also talked about how such concerns and opinions can be incorporated in programs and policies.

A number of journalists came to the meeting, where more than a dozen people with dementia gave presentations, actively expressed their opinions with confidence, and touched the hearts of the audience.
